(The bird artist's table)

Native Walnut top and
magazine rack. American Black Walnut legs and rails.
Inlay of Sperm Whale tooth ivory.
48" x 24" wide x 14" high

The idea here is that the table top is a homage to Chris's remarkable compositions in which the subject is shown in its habitat. The subject is often a small element of the overall composition and the walnut seemed to suggest a twilight landscape. The dark streak could be a hedge line or contour which the Barn owl is patrolling in search of quarry.
